Team Members
Cristina Fernández – Team Lead, Chemist, and CEO. A student at MIT Sloan where she is pursuing her interest in technology entrepreneurship. She has worked on various chemistry startups in the past. Prior to MIT Sloan, she was a Research Chemist at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT doing drug development.
Stephen Guerrera – Technical and feasibility expert, and CTO. Has an extensive knowledge of micro device fabrication technologies. He is a semiconductor device physics expert and is working on his Ph.D. at MIT. He currently works in the same research group that developed the technology behind the hand-held mass spectrometer.
Brief Background
Our team at Muse Analytical is working on an exciting new technology that saves time and money by facilitating portable chemical analysis with a hand-held tool. Who would want this? Why is smaller and portable better? Companies focusing on environmental cleanup and explosives identification would benefit from a hand-held chemical analysis tool. This allows companies to perform immediate analysis of chemicals, contaminants, and explosives. Speed and flexibility make the job faster and easier saving environmental cleanup companies time and money.
